bullet The Regular Business Meeting will be held June 3rd 2008 at 3:30pm at the Local Lodge Office. An Informational Meeting will be held at 10:30am at the same location, for those unable to attend the afternoon meeting.

bullet SPECIAL MEETING NOTIFICATION: in accordance with the IAMAW Constitution and Local Lodge Bylaws, the President has received a petition from greater than ten percent of the membership calling for a Special Meeting. This meeting will be held on Thursday, May 29th at 10:30am, in which to conduct an Election of Delegates to attend the Grand Lodge Convention. Written notification has been sent to all members with valid addresses on file with the Local Lodge. Absentee Ballot forms accompany the mailed notification. Only Members in good standing, paying full dues for six months prior to the Nomination of Delegates shall qualify to run in the Election.

IAM history comes alive with the Labor Archive Website of all of the Machinists’ Monthly Journals from the earliest edition in 1889 all the way through its last year of publication 1956. The collection, which also includes the Machinist newspaper published from 1946 to 1994, is a joint project started in 2004 between the Georgia State University Southern Labor Archives and the Machinists union.
